How many ghosts show each piece of evidence
Evidence Ghosts that show it Spirit Box 14 EMF Level 5 13 Ultraviolet 13 Ghost Writing 13 D.O.T.S. projector 13 Ghost Orbs 12 Freezing temperatures 12Spirit Box is the most common evidence, and Ghost Orbs and Freezing temperatures are the rarest. The spread is narrow, though: 30 ghosts times three pieces of evidence makes 90 slots, and every kind of evidence fills 12 to 14 of them.
Why two pieces of evidence are never enough
Pick any two kinds of evidence and between three and five ghosts still match. No pair narrows the list to a single ghost, which is why the third piece of evidence or a behavior check always decides it.
Ghosts matching Evidence pairs 3 ghosts EMF 5 + Orbs (Dayan, Obake, Raiju); Orbs + Writing (Mare, Revenant, Thaye); Freezing + D.O.T.S. (Aswang, Oni, Yurei) 4 ghosts EMF 5 + Freezing; EMF 5 + Writing; Orbs + Freezing; Orbs + UV; Spirit Box + Freezing; Spirit Box + D.O.T.S.; Freezing + UV; UV + Writing; UV + D.O.T.S. 5 ghosts EMF 5 + Spirit Box; EMF 5 + UV; EMF 5 + D.O.T.S.; Orbs + Spirit Box; Orbs + D.O.T.S.; Spirit Box + UV; Spirit Box + Writing; Freezing + Writing; Writing + D.O.T.S.The seven kinds of evidence in plain English
EMF Level 5 is the top reading on the EMF Reader after a ghost interaction. Ghost Orbs are small lights that show up on a video camera in night vision in the ghost’s room. Spirit Box evidence is a spoken answer from the ghost on the Spirit Box. Freezing temperatures means a Thermometer reading below freezing in the ghost’s room. Ultraviolet is fingerprints or footprints visible under a UV light. Ghost Writing is the ghost writing in a Ghost Writing Book. D.O.T.S. is a ghost silhouette or movement seen in the laser field of the D.O.T.S. projector.
Once you know the ghost, our ghost tier list ranks how dangerous each one is, and our cursed objects guides for small maps and medium and large maps cover where the possessions spawn. The seasonal event running until November 1 has its own page: the Crimson Eye 2026 guide.
