Xbox Game Pass October 2026 Additions and Removals

Game Pass giveth, and Game Pass taketh away. Xbox Game Pass October 2026 hands you Gears of War: E-Day on day one, then pulls Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on October 15. Between pricier tiers, scattered announcements and that ticking “leaving soon” list, it’s easy to lose a game you’d planned to finish. So we’ve sorted every addition and removal by tier, from Essential to Ultimate, with dates attached. Your backlog will thank you.

More Coming and Going (As Always)

Xbox Game Pass October 2026 is a big month. Gears of War: E-Day leads the new games coming to Game Pass, landing on October 6 as a day-one release, and 11 titles are confirmed so far, with Keeper also moving into Premium. On the way out, the games leaving Xbox Game Pass on October 15 include Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and seven others.

Last month: September 2026  <  This month: October 2026  >  Next month: November 2026

Game Pass is a multi-tiered system. Xbox Game Pass Essential offers the least, Xbox Game Pass Premium has more, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has the lot, including the day-one games coming to Game Pass Ultimate. The lines between them moved with the new, pricier Xbox Game Pass tiers in October 2025, before Ultimate and PC Game Pass prices came down in April 2026.

Those subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate get Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass together, plus EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics and Fortnite Crew. Essential, Premium and Ultimate all include Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported devices, and games leaving Game Pass drop out of the cloud library at the same time.

Below, you’ll find the games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month (or in some cases, leaving it) across console, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the full current catalog sits on the official Xbox Game Pass games page. We’ll keep adding to the lists as more games are revealed.

Final Thoughts

October is a strong month to be on Ultimate or PC Game Pass, with 11 day-one games spread across the month, while Premium picks up Keeper and Essential sits this one out. Gears of War: E-Day is the one to clear space for, especially if you plan on jumping into its multiplayer from launch day.
