HP Releases GT06 Full-Size Mechanical Keyboard Series With 8 KHz Polling Rate

HP has released the GT06, a full-size mechanical keyboard that offers an 8,000 Hz polling rate with wired, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity. In a landscape dominated by compact layouts, the full-size GT06 keyboard is a rare apparition aimed at gamers and general desktop use. The GT06 keyboard features a 106-key layout, a gasket-mounted structure, and seven layers of internal padding. It is available with Kailh, Seiya, or Feather switches and uses double-shot PBT keycaps with RGB backlighting and 16 lighting effects. The keyboard supports Music Rhythm Lighting Effect 3.0, while a multifunction knob placed on the right side provides volume adjustment and one-click mute.

A large 12,000 mAh battery rated for up to 30 days of use powers the keyboard, however, HP does not specify the conditions to reach 30 days of usage, probably without RGB lighting. Two-stage adjustable feet allow users to change the typing angle. User can configure the keyboard through a web-based software or a dedicated client driver. The HP GT06 is currently available in China through JD.com for 310 yuan or around $43. International availability or pricing has not been announced.
