Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch receives Nintendo Switch 2 release date, new trailer

Atlantis Studio is back with a status update on Atlantis Studio, revealing the game’s release date. It’ll be out on October 22, 2026.

Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive co-op horror adventure game. The original announcement took place this past June with a 2026 launch window.

Having put numerous subjects to the test over the past few months, the results are clear: while a few have managed to escape the House, none have ever done it alone. Beyond The Dark: Nightwatch delivers a tense, clever mix of spooky atmosphere and strategic thinking. Designed first and foremost as a couch co-op experience – complete with GameShare, Local Network, and Online Modes – the game makes playing together seamless by including a “Friend’s Pass” copy so only one player needs to own the game. The second player being able to play on any generation of Nintendo Switch console!

The unique experience places each player in vastly different, interdependent roles. One player explores the shadowy House in first-person, hunting for clues to solve mysteries and escape before THE ENTITY catches them. Meanwhile, the other player commands a network of cameras and tactical tools to guide their partner.
